Episode 18: How Purpose protects Venture Capital risk No question you have to have nerves of steel to be a venture capitalist because most of your bets fail. The successful VCs are comforted by the fact that their wins, although smaller in number, are much bigger in value and dwarf the losses.

A common reason for failure is a lack of focus on, and agreement with, what the business really is and where it is going. In this short video, I talk about how purpose creates a focus for the business that inspires buy-in from all parties and increases the likelihood that a start up will be a winner. Just one more winner makes a massive difference to a VC's bottom line.
